Injustice 2‘s gear system allowed you to customise your character’s outfits and look piece by piece, which was a brilliant addition to the game and allowed you to make the roster look as utterly ridiculous or as comic accurate as you pleased. The second game played heavily with the idea of the multiverse and even had a mode dedicated to you fighting the game’s roster from all different multiverses – so a third game could easily further expand on this. With such a variety of brilliant characters being brought to life in live-action, now would be the perfect time to release the third installment of Injustice and get these characters, or at the very least their costumes, involved. There’s even more going on in the world of TV for DC with the likes of Peacemaker (Season 1), Superman and Lois (Season 2), Naomi (Season 1), The Flash (Season 8 continued), Doom Patrol (Season 4), and Batwoman (Season 3) just to name a few! DC films we have to look forward to this year alone include Black Adam, The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Robert Pattinson’s debut as the caped crusader in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. The group then learns that the situation is worse than they thought, as they discover Brainiac is in fact the mastermind behind everything.Ģ022 is going to be a stacked year for live-action DC properties. Injustice 2, takes place five years after the event of the first game and sees Batman’s insurgency and the currently imprisoned Superman come together to take down Gorilla Grodd and his villainous group The Society. The game has since had a big impact on DC, with multiple mobile games, a sequel video game which was released in 2016, and obvious influences throughout various DC media, including the Knightmare sequence in Zack Snyder’s Justice League which gave us a taste of Superman turning evil after the death of Lois Lane. Gods Among Us was well-received upon release and won multiple awards, including Best Fighting Game at the Game Critics Award, and was a hit with DC Comic fans. To try and bring an end to Superman’s new totalitarian regime, Batman recruits members of the Justice League from another universe, and alliances are put to the test as things come to a head. Injustice’s story is set in a parallel universe where Superman becomes a tyrant after Joker tricks him into murdering Lois Lane and then destroys Metropolis with a nuclear bomb. Other potentially lesser-known playable characters included Lobo, Zatanna, Zod, Raven, and Solomon Grundy. The roster of 30 characters included big mainstream fan favourites such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Joker, and Harley Quinn. Interactive Entertainment relea sed Injustice: God Among Us, a fighting game that allowed players to control some of the biggest heroes and villains on DC Comics’ roster and absolutely batter fellow comic characters. In April 2013, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros.
